Hype Williams has essentially spawned an entire generation.

Williams signature style, although not exhibited in all videos, involves shots placed in regular widescreen ratio, while another set of shots is placed in the spaces which would normally be left blank in widescreen ratio videos.

Widely known for his 'flashful' style, which he brings to his videos, Hype reinvigorated the music video landscape and set new limits for music videos to take.
